Hello,
I've read several posts from people who have had problems with the Epoque housing and I'm wondering if there is anyone out there who has had a good experience with the housing. The sanyo hd2000 has received great reviews from all the reporting sites. Manual ISO, WB, low lux etc.
The problem is with the housing...I haven't seen any positive posts, several negative, but no positive. I spoke with the US distributor today and he said that he sells quite a few of them and they do not receive complaints...i'd like to hear from the people who are happy with their purchase. I'm trying to figure out a new housing purchase for a guadalupe trip. I have a sony hc7 but i'm looking for a compact housing. It may be easier to get the sanyo and a small housing.
Also...anyone have any experience with patima housings?

I just joined the video forum - I have the HD1 and epoque housing - no problems - quite enjoy the setup as it is very compact and easy to use. I also dive with APS Mantaray fins (white) and can take a MWB off my fin when I change depth. I also added the epoque wide angle lens - works great.

I am currently using Epoche with Sanyo HD2000. Great camera under and above water. I have also added Epoche flexible arm and a tray with FIX LED1000DX Light. So far more than 50 dives and no problems at all. I did hear about the earlier versions of the Epoche housings where if the camera did not sit well, it was prone to flooding. I believe this has been addressed already as my camera sits very well in the housing. Hope this helps.

Regards/
