Hi all,
I have a Quest Tiburon Pro underwater housing with a no good O-ring.
As Quest are no longer in business, do you have any suggestion to where I can obtain a new O-ring (even a replacement non original)?

10x,
Shuky

Check around where you live to see if there is a rubber and gasket shop. Take the housing in and have them measure and try out the o-ring for fit on site before you buy. Also, make sure it is a soft not hard rubber o-ring. When you check it on site, make sure it has smoosh factor.

Thanks,
I will try.

Look for a hydraulic/pneumatic supplier in your area. The kind that sells repair parts for forklifts and industrial hydraulics. They should have a complete kit of all o-ring sizes in stock and will sell you one cheap.

I had a Quest housing a couple years back and was able to get replacements for both the back seal and the front port. If your housing is like mine, there was a thin groove milled in the base of the plex plate that the o-ring sat in so thickness as well as fit is important.

Allorings.com has all the sizes/specifications. I'm pretty sure I bought Viton o-rings - if not Buna-N.

fwiw, if you ever have switch problems, here's the e-mail of the guy who designed them for Quest. He was selling spares as of a couple years ago. Ken Brookes - kbrookesus@yahoo.com.
