Hello Everyone, I recently purchased a Quest "Rip-Tide" housing , and am curious as to which camera (camcorder) it was designed for? Any help is apreciated, Thanks In Advance, Russ V

It's going to be a Sony. Something in the TR or TRV series. Post a pic of the front and an inside shot from the back and I'll give you my best guess. I used to own a Quest housing and since I bought it on eBay I had to figure out what cameras would fit. They are somewhat universal as long as the camera lens centers in the port when mounted on the tray - I used 3 different cameras in mine.

Quest has been out of business for about 5 years or so. I have contact info for their switch and port mfr's if you need either.

Hi Steve, Thanks for your reply. I can tell you that the sony TR-200, TR-700 don't fit. I'll try to get a picture of the "Rip-Tide" model posted later on. I also own the Quest "Pro-Shot" which houses the Sony TR-700,the electro-mechanical control is faulty on this unit so I purchased the "Rip-Tide" parts bucket on e-bay hoping to make a complete housing. The "Rip-Tide" lens port is centered on the front of the housing & also comes equiped with microphone jack, where the "Pro-Shot" lens port is low & left with no microphone jack. Thank You, Russ

Hi Steve, Here are a few photos of my housing, hope this is helpful. Thanks Again, Russ
