RIP Marcia the forever teacher..we still learn from you as those you trained, dived with you and experienced your passion and drive. You have touched so many in so many ways here and in your previous life as in teaching English to so many other language speakers. Your books continue that role. First in your family to go to university from. From a poor background you rose above and found creative ways to get the edcuation you demanded for yourself. Your accomplishments were impressive but more so the job you did as a wife and mother. The passion, drive and support you gave them made them the greatest of of the many gifts you leave behind. YOU crammed 3 careers into a life that was too short!
I hope people will donate to this worth cause, not just because we cared so much for Marci but because we also care so much for the environment she loved and is no much in need of protecting!

Marcia Fisk Ong's enthusiasm for scuba diving touched many lives, and preserving coral reefs for future generations was one of her passions.
Our beloved Marcia Fisk Ong, born October 1, 1952, passed away on October 7, 2013 in Sydney, Australia while pursuing her passion for scuba diving. After a distinguished career as an English-language teaching professional in which she authored 23 books, she continued to express her joy of teaching and learning in her new profession, becoming a scuba instructor and starting her own dive instruction business: Gekko Scuba Divers, Phuket Thailand. She earned the respect of her peers in both careers, elected as a Board Member of TESOL as an educator and appointed as an Advisor on ScubaBoard.com, where she was known as "Quero". She will be sorely missed by all whose lives she touched with her boundless energy, enthusiasm and love.
In order to continue Marcia's legacy and support a cause she loved, and so future generations can enjoy the beauty of the oceans as she did, we have established a Coral Reef Preservation Fund in her honor.
Thank you for your thoughts and prayers, and for your support in creating a lasting positive impact as she would have wanted in this difficult time.

Note there seems to be a time limit for donating so we need to get busy on this worth While cause. Even if you were not close to Quero/Marcia but you believe in doing something significant for the Marine environment we love.. this is a great way to do it!
