Most locations in Puerto Vallarta are pushing a certain 'corporate/commercial' excursion company that has a dive shop. I selected PV Sea Dive because of other TripAdvisor recommendations. I believe they are listed as the No. 1 dive shop in Puerto Vallarta on TripAdvisor. After my dive, I understand why.

As you can tell from my handle, I love diving. I'm advance open water and nothing is more important than a relaxing dive (what other reason would there be to dive?). I called their number and spoke to Sue. She answered all of my questions and explained more than most shop owners would over the phone. For me this sealed the deal. I went to the website, took advantage of the online discounts and appeared the next morning.

"You must be Anthony", Sue said in her lovable accent. My response was simple, "That's me." From there on I was treated as if I had a private dive package. Equipment was ready. The conversation was great and the 'group' was very small. Sue explained that she's not very interested in have large groups. She enjoys getting to know the divers and making sure their experience is as best as possible. Her crew were very friendly and were genuinely smiling the whole time.

Given the day of the dive, we dove the Majahuitas, but I doubt it would have mattered where the site we took were that day. I sat and laughed with Sue and her as well as the other soles with us. Ben pointed out as much marine life as could be found and Sue took pictures (which she posts on her Facebook page for everyone to enjoy).

Sue told me that she's only been in business on the island for 18 months. Think of the service that she must give to be number one in that short period of time. How could you decide to dive with someone else? How? Sue's shop is PADI certified of course and takes the time to listen to you. She wants your dive to be special. I think she could charge more and do just as well. Its just wonderful that she's actually less than the big 'adventures group' on the island but provides a superior service.

Thank you Sue.
