Anybody know if you can have zippers put in a wetsuit ankles and wrists? They are like 5mil+???
If yo know where it would really help im in the Kansas City Area.
Thanks

After seeing my freind hop around taking off his suit. Zippers are a good idea in all suits. Good choice of action.

Sure they can be added. The hardest part is finding a capable source for the modifications. Be sure that a sealing flap or preferably a pleated baffle are added or the seepage will make the difficult doning look like a better idea.

Many of the custom makes mentioned in this forum will accept others suits for modification. Unless the suits are near new in excellent condition the $$ for 4 added zippers may make a new suit an attractive option.

often times shoe and boot repair shops will add zippers to almost anything at a reasonable price, and if their machines will sew leather it should sew your wetsuit

I'm sure they can sew it, but do they have the right zippers and do they have the material to use for backing? Doubtful.
