I just noticed that LLVL has a "special" cancelation policy over the Chinese new year. Sorry to sound like a xenophobic ‘merican but the reputation of Chinese divers is really really bad

Does anyone have experience diving PG during this holiday?

Only during certain dates eg. Christmas, Easter or Spring Festival(Chinese).
Korea also has its traditional New Year at the same time.
First of all it is Lunar New Year or Spring Festival to be precise for Chinese(including Hong Kongese, Taiwanese or any overseas ethnic Han Chinese). I had never ever heard the expression of Chinese New Year in HK unless by the conme chinese over last few years.
Avoid diving with them at all cost.
Select the operator carefully and avoid any place that has Chinese translation on its web site.

Thank you again for your insights. The Lalunavilla puts the Chinese New Year as 17 - 20 Feb

My stay there overlaps with these dates. I'll reach out to LLVL to see what they can do to mitigate things

Lunar new year is 17 - 28 February 2026 but many will extend that through Lantern Festival to 03 March.

You want to make sure you book all your international flights well in advance. Also hotels etc as SEA is a nightmare to travel in during this period. I stay at home and don't travel during lunar new years.

The NO refund policy is for cancellation over specific period.
"Contact us directly for undue hardship situations". Have a chat with them before paying any deposit.

Good luck.

Non sense.
Flight from North America to Philippines would not be affected during that period. Christmas and Easter are the only exception.

PG is one of the most popular diving destination for Korean. And Korean New Year is on 17th Feb 2026!!!! Therefore demand for Korean on accommodation are huge over that period but they usually stay at Korean Resort and LLVL is NOT one of them.
