I recently posted a private message but wanted it to be public. How do I post a public message or change my private message to a public one? There are no Q and As about this.

All I can think of is to copy your PM and start a new thread and paste it in.

You are posting a public message right here.

Private messages are just that... Private, and generally, it's considered "bad form" to post the contents of a private correspondence.

Am I addressing your question?

A private message by nature is private. Its type cannot be altered afterwards.

To create a public message you need to start a thread in the appropriate forum. I.E. to create a thread in this forum you click this button

in the forum itself. Exactly like you did for this topic.
