We have reservations for what would be our first Pt. Lobos diving this weekend but I fear that the conditions will not be good. The buoy PZZ565-122215-POINT PINOS TO POINT PIEDRAS BLANCAS TO 10 NM-

curently says:

SATNW WINDS 20 TO 30 KT. WIND WAVES 4 TO 7 FT. NW SWELL 6 TO8 FT AT 9 SECONDS.
Does this mean we should expect 6 to 8 ft swell *plus* wind waves 4 to 7 ft?

We are not all that comfortable in cold water, we would need to have something close to flat to be comfortable. If Pt. Lobos is not for us, is it possible that the BW would be OK?

Thanks,

Bill

I'm about to post to the Monterey conditions thread...there was quite a swell coming into Whaler's today, but it was dive-able and the viz has improved. Having read your other posts I'm on the fence whether to say yea or nay, sorry.
