PT-015 discontinued?

MY PT-015 housing was stolen/lost at TSA in November. I was interested in getting a new one for an yupcoming trip and noticed the usual plethora of overpriced online shops has significantly dwindled to ony a few with one in stock. I called one today and they noted that Olympus has discontinued making the PT-015 and had announced this yesterday at the show. I went to the Oly website and only saw 02-17 as the latest press releases.

Can I get some veracity on this claim that it was discontinued? So if the PT-015 is no longer made by Oly, what's next and what will cover my C5050? I liked this as an inexpensive option.

Did you call Olympus? You can find their phone number on the website. Best to get it from the horses mouth. I've heard they discontinued the PT-15 but haven't seen anything 'official' from Olympus.

Ebay has one from a new seller out of Canada. PT-015 on Ebay as of Feb 24, 2005 with 3 days left. It is currently bidding at approx $205 USD ($255 Canadian).
