I just bought a Nauticam 3.5" port to use with the Panasonic 8mm fisheye and the neoprene cover isn't a good fit.

I like to have something to put on the port when I hand it up at the end of the dive and was wondering if anyone had some ideas. Previously I dived with a compact camera with an Inon UFL wet lens and I had modified the plastic lens cover so it was tethered to the tray with some thin bungy cord. I could leave it on until I was in the water and pop it back on at the end of the dive

All damage I have had to ports and wet lenses so far has been on the boat and I wish to avoid that.

I have used one of these covers on my my dome port and it works well. I just tuck it in my bc pocket after I get in the water and put it back on before I get back on the boat. You could probably thread something in the little leather handle on the edge to secure it but then it will float around often in front of the lens or flash. Here is the link. OP/TECH USA Hood Hat

I use the best fit tupperware hard plastic with strategic rubber bands so it stays underneath the camera when shooting and on the dome when in need of protection. The 3.5" is so compact that makes it a winner with the 8mm lens!

Thanks for both suggestions, either should work.

Got the Op Tech hood hat as there is an Australian distributer and the small size fits the 3.5" port perfectly! Looking forward to using the 8mm FE in a couple of weeks in PNG.

I would like to see a photo of your tupperware/rubber band solution Nudibranco.
