Hello y'all,

Me and me buddy are planning to go to Indonesia in early May for two weeks. We've found loads and even more information about divesites and accomodation but less information about prices for dives.

$250 for 10 (+1) dives seems like some kind of low average, comments on this? I won't be travelling with any divegear, what about rentals? Quality VS cost?

Any up-to-date prices in the area would be appreciated.

Best regards,
/Andy

North Sulawesi and Indonesia in general still continues to be one of the worlds cheapest places to dive.I last visited over four years ago and that price you have been quoted was around the same when I was there. The package deals might include Bunaken with its amazing walls, although the diving North of Manado and Lembah Straits, ranks amongst the favourites with the worlds top photographers.
Try seeing what a live aboard is worth while your there as there are still pristine sites further North of Sulawesi too.Keep me posted on your trip...

Would try contacting these people, shore based which is how most people dive bunaken, owners were based in Red Sea he is egyptian (though speaks beter english that what i does) she is a Brit, very nice dive operation and hotel does good packages.

Did some research before my Christmas holiday in Manado and Lembeh. Depending on the hotel, you are roughly looking at 100 to 120 USD per day, full board with 3 boat dives, assuming you have your own equipment.

Hi petzl,
yes, this prize is very low, and you should hurry with booking, because as far as I heard during my stay in Jan. this year , most of the divecenters on Bunaken will change from US$ to €. You can get informations about North Sulawesi here: http://www.sulawesi-info.com/ and find links to all Divecenters with own websites here: http://www.north-sulawesi.org./diving.html . Most of them have a prize list. If you like also informations about local divecenters on Bunaken island without an own website, contact me by pm
