I have a pressure gauge (mares).I have no boot for it,my question is
could I get a hose and make it a back up?

You do not need a boot, I have not had a boot on my pressure gauge for 10 years.

Not sure how you will be using it:

If plastic and if not on a stage/deco/pony I would find a boot for it just to give it a bit of protection. If brass and glass, as is, is fine.

Now if a back up that is going be left in your save a dive kit - then no boot is needed.

Also you may not even need a hose. Computer HP hose and easily be used by removing the computer or quick disconnect.

Actually in the way that Brass and Glass can be used without a boot, so can plastic face with metal back gauges. mostly.

It's the back that matters whether it is plastic or not. The recent Mares stuff is all metal back, and plastic face in the slim gauge and glass face in the bigger gauge style.

Edit: Probably best to post a picture of the gauge.
