So I've been practicing frog kicks, laying on my stomach off the end of the bed (no pool or water body around) and after seeing other people do them (in water, and YouTube), it seems my ankles/knees don't rotate very much in the push phase. Te best I can do is just over 45deg at the end of the kick.

Is this just a land/gravity thing, something not to worry about as it gets better over time or am I just being silly????

Hmmm ... this thread reminds me that SoccerJeni was going to post a picture of herself, in her wetsuit plus mask and snorkel, lying on her coffee table practicing the frog kick. What ever became of that? ;)

Y she need to wear her wetsuit and mask? Just your normal clothing with the fins will do.

Because the picture would be so much better ... isn't that reason enough? ;)

i asked my wife to perform frog kick. to my surprise, she can do a perfect frog kick with my jet fin but not her x stream!!!
somemore the jet fin is 2 size up of her sizing!!!

I tested out with her x stream, also the same!!! lol

I've played with the xstream. I found it difficult to do a good frog kick with them, too, and I know how . . .

We're all just being silly. Enjoy it; it's a luxury.

I started off with the X-Stream though before moving on to the Jet fin. They're not really bad fins. Just that like a lot of the fins with 'technological assistance', the pace is set by them, not you because of their flexible blades coupled to the X struts.
