Hi all, I just got my WP-DC30 Canon housing and need a few tips (which I didn't find in a search) about which settings to use. In general, what settings do you use to take your pics?
The Canon website recommends using the "daylight" setting up to 30 feet and the cloudy setting bellow 30 feet. Do any of you use this and does it work well?
Or should I just stick to using the flash when I can and/or the manual white ballance? When using the flash, should I also manual white ballance?
Also, I'm wondering about the diffusion plate. Should I use it? Does it reduce the efficacy of the flash? I tested it in my living room and it does eliminate a slight shadow in the corner due to the lenz casing blocking the flash... What do you all do? Do you use it? Any special considerations to take into acount?
Last question...
I read that the refraction due to air being in between the lenz and casing makes things bigger than they appear. Does this mean I need to take this into account when sizing in the LCD display? How much do you figure I will need to compensate so I don't end up cropping parts of the fish and critters I had perfectly framed?
Thanks all for helping out a newbie!!!!!
