Hello all-

Well, I have the A520. Yeah its a little out-dated, but I love the camera. I understand that the WP-DC60 is compatible with the A520. Any thoughts on using the A520 on dives? Please bare with me, as I am very new to underwater photography. Ive only done it once and that was while snorkeling with a lousy disposable underwater camera. I really want to get shots at around depths of 10-50 feet.

I also use a A520. Great camera. I bought a external flash set up from B+H photo for it and I've taken some awesome pictures with it. I have also used it in video mode and put together some impressive work on local wrecks. I have had it down eighty feet with no problems. I look forward to diving the Northerner at 135 to test its limitations. Ha. If you use an external slave flash you will have to use manual mode. It simply will not work on auto. I don't have video lights, but I have gotten some really top notch stuff on the McMillian & Pitz and the 906 without lights. Try it, you'll like it.

I have one and it has worked fine for me. I have had it down last weekend to 123'. But I will say I flooded it once but that was my fault. The string for the flash defuser got closed in the o-ring. so now I make sure that I have no strings in the way.

Any thoughts on diffuser use? Do you guys allways use it? Are there certain times when you shouldnt? Also got a question about the O ring. When i took it out and greased it and then put it back in, there seems to be a little play in it now, as if it was over stretched.

The play in the ring is barely noticeable, but im worried this might cause leakage. Its not as tightly flushed as it was before i pulled it out for preventative maintenance. I did a test in about 6 inches of water and there didnt appear to be any leakage. Is it common for a few water droplets to get on the camera and inside the case shortly after drying it off and taking the cam out?

Thanks!

I removed the diffuser a few dives ago after it got where it would hardly stay on. Since doing so I really haven't noticed a difference.

I am not sure home common it is to get a few drops in the case after opening. After removing the camera I have washed both the inside and outside of the housing. I am not sure if OK to do but so far it hasn't cause any problems. I just make sure that I leave the housing open a few days to make sure it drys out good.

Here are a few I shot last weekend.

I just got the camera. the housing is on its way. The pics. I've tacken with it on land have been awesome. I love the camera. I was also wondering if I should use Manual. Auto, or the underwater settings when I take it unerwater?

Hey all-

I had a blast with the A520 while snorkeling earlier this month. Most of the pictures came out great and the WP-DC60 housing worked flawlessly. Wasnt able to dive with it yet but hoping to next month. I did take it to a depth of about 20 feet on a free dive and no problems.
