I have 2 powerlights from the late 90's, maybe early 2000's & I need a new charger. The booklett says: POWERLIGHT-Rechargeable version (P/N 30-031-X00) SPECIFICATIONS: Lead acid battery: Gates 6V-5Ah (08090012), Charger: automatic 220V (optional 110V)
Recharging operation - WARNING: use only the SCUBAPRO charger (P/N 30-030-117). I called SCUBAPRO & the service man said SCUBAPRO doesn't sell them any more & he doesn't know where to get a charger & maybe I can find something on the internet. I can find 6V/5A chargers but I can't find one with the correct plug that goes into the powerlight. Someone suggested it might be from Italy/Europe. Where can I get a charger? These were expensive lights. I would hope that SCUBAPRO expected their product to last for years & years & has a business plan to support their quality items. To be told basically, too bad & good luck is irritating & not encouraging me to buy SCUBAPRO in the future. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Chargers for 6 volt Sealed Lead Acid battieries can be found on the open market and can be connected directly to the battery. If you wish, the charger can be adapted to work with the phono plug used on the powerlight. Please be advised, the phono plug is center-positive.

Thank you for responding to my post. I removed the battery from the housing, took it to Radio Shack & they said that they did not have anything that would work. They don't carry the plug that would insert into the battery. They couldn't tell me what size or manufacturer. What is a PHONO plug, what is the size & where are they? I'm a nurse, I don't know anything about electricity, ohms, volts, amps.... I don't have a clue how to create a charger. I have been searching the internet for almost 2 weeks & have not been able to find a charger in the US. I have have seen 2 in Europe & here are their replies: #1 Germany
Thank you for your Mail. We talk over a PB Battery and we have Chargers for PB Battery’s: http://www.akkuwelt-netphen.de/Ansmann-ALCS-2-24A-Ladegeraet-Bleigelakkus_p715_x2.htm

I went to the site & it doesn't look the same & instead of 1 plug, it has 2 allagator clips? And the info included: Automatic recharge, trickle charge about 20 mAh (I'm so confused)
#2 Italy

Can you tell me who made the chargers & can I contact them? You said : Chargers for 6 volt Sealed Lead Acid battieries can be found on the open market. That much I can do but what about the connector & Ah? Is it 5Ah or is it 0.5Ah? How imporant is the Ah amount? People trying to help me sent these messages: The correct setting of the charge voltage is critical and ranges from 2.30 to 2.45V per cell. AND: these bateries needs CONSTANT VOLTAGE and needs VOLTAGE LITLE LOWER or EQUAL that is prescribed ! Normal ''car chargers '' that works also on lead acid , have a little higher output but that can ''overburn'' SLA battery. ???What??? Please help me. It shouldn't be this difficult to re-charge my dive lights. I just want an appropriate charger. I do appreciate your time, effort & kind assistance with my delema.
