The power inflator/corrugated tube length on my HOG wing is on the short side. Can I just get longer corrugated tubing or do I need to replace the whole assembly? Thanks.

It's funny, but I've been putting the shortest hose possible on all my hoses including my student BCs. :D Everyone's a bit different. I use 150# (1.3mm) monofilamint leader with appropriate crimps to replace the dump cable. Just don't make it too short as that will lead to inadvertent dumping.

I'm curious as to why you think it's too short. In general shorter means easier to vent and less cluttered on your chest. I assume you've used it on a few dives and still don't like it?

I made the change from the jacket style BCD to a BP/W set up. The inflater hose was longer on the BCD and I was able to readily put my hand on it. Although I've dived numerous times with my BP/W, I still feel like the hose is not readily in reach. In other posts I've read, people have pointed out how it's easier to dump air with the shorter hose. Perhaps I just need more time.

Perhaps. But don't let others' preferences overly influence your own. You like what you like. There are no safety considerations to hose length that I'm aware of, so make it good for you!

Pete's statement is "spot on". While I have adapted to a quite short configuration, it drives my wife batty, and I needed to set her's up with a longer length.

verify that the backplate is actually properly adjusted before you start changing hose lengths around. It is quite possible that the plate itself is too low causing the feeling of a too short inflator. The Hog wings ship with a pretty long inflator hose as it is.

As best I can tell, the plate is well positioned on my back. If there's some measurement to confirm this, please let me know.

I don't know if different HOG wings come with different length hoses but mine measures 13" from end to end of the corrugated hose only.
