Hi,
basically I'm looking a regulator which would be repaired around the world and would be as light as possible to carry around the world and it would be at tropic countries..

Fe. I got a Poseidon, which has been a really good one, but I wasn't able to do even small repairs at Egypt (now they have service center at egypt) or Dominican Republic.. So far I would lean on to scubapro, apeks and to aqualung.. It is really pain.. to send something to different country, wait for ever and eventually pay a big time even for some smaller thing.. :shakehead:

So, I'm really looking for something which would be (most likely) fixed around the world, if needed and as light as possible (i have to struggle enough at planes all ready) How about some suggestions about brands, models and so on? :cool2:

I think you are headed in the right direction. I asked the board a similar question a while back and ended up being told that scuba pro/aqualung have the most accessble service centers.

After much thought, I bought a M17 G250V scuba pro reg which is perhaps my smartest gear purchase to date. It appears I will not outgrow it as it's an excellent reg!

As far as light? Perhaps other models are a bit lighter, but can they span as many dive environments?

And for me the weight doesn't really matter when I travel around the globe because I carry my reg on the plane ;-).

Simple fix - buy a dive rite, learn to service it and carry a rebuild kit in your save a dive kit- therefore you can instantly rebuild the reg if needed. They sell the kits direct and servicing is easy and needs no special tools.
