Hi all
Need fellow board members expert advice on this:
Can I possibly fit a Diverite Transpac harness onto a Halcyon 27lb wings (the newer version with the intergrated STA)? If it's possible, may I know what modiifications to do? Please help as I'm stuck with the above situation. THanks.

If you can mount a transpack to doubles (which I'm pretty sure you can) you can mount it to the Halcyon wing. Why you would want to I cannot imagine....

Thanks for the reply. The reason I'd started this thread is because I'll probably be stuck in this situation and with the limited dosh, couldn't afford to go further at this point in time.

Hmm. Have you looked into Fred-T's plates? They are really quite reasonably priced, especially if you are willing to put in a little of the final grunt work.

You can get a plate from him for as little as $50.

Yes, you can bolt doubles to a transpac just like a back plate. It won't be "DUH" approved... uh, I mean "DIR" approved, but then again, your using a single so your already going to die a horrible death according to the DIR junkies. If the halcyon was bungeed then you probably wouldn't even be able to get in the water before you got killed.
Oh my, did I say that out loud? My inner monologue must not be working right...;-0
If the Halcyon wing "bolts" in, then yes, it will work. If it uses the bands to go through a BC then it may or may not depending on how much if any up-down adjustment there is in the wing. As for the transpac, there isn't much room to move the bands as the slots are pretty tight. Most STAs are bolted in to the plate or pac, so if thats the case with the halcyon, then your set.

The slots for the cambands in the wing, don't line up with the slots for the cambands in the Transpac II harness.

It will fit with an STA, though...

I suppose it would,
I never thought about it,
When I use a STA, it's with a BP.

and I like the 27 lb wing better with just the "built in" STA

:)
