I recently purchased the Canon underwater casing for the G9. I took it out on a test run last weekend without the camera (I even tossed in a moisture packet). Every looked fine during the dive. I got home and rinsed the housing off, but I did not open it until tonight. When I did so the moisture packet was wet. There appeared to be no other water in the casing.

It appears to be condensation, but I am concerned as water and camera don't mix.

I did not have this happen with my Oly casing.

Have others experienced the condensation issue with the Canon housings?

Let me know.

Thanks

I've had minor condensation happen occasionally, both with and without a moisture packet. I've had it in two previous Canons with housings as well as a Sealife - it never caused problems, I always just figured it was minor moisture in the air when I sealed it, plus heat from LCD/flash underwater. Each system went on repeat dives (with my S500 separated by 2 years), and no problems...
