Could some one please clue me in as to why Poseidon had such a lack of success with and has since dropped the Triton regulator from its line? I know of at least one LDS which still has one in stock, and as I'm shopping for a reliable coldwater pony reg, I'd like to make a below normal retail offer for it. But I'm well aware this could be a life or death gamble and don't want a sub par safety device! I was drawn to this reg. for several reasons, the Poseidon reputation, the excellent rotational abilities of the second stage,( excellent for air sharing) and even it's modern and unique styling. I realize there are other choices available, but what are the facts that would make this reg. a poor purchase, even at a "clearance" price?

Poseidon dropped triton mainly because it was too expensive to manufacture and not because they thougt it was a lousy regulator. Alot of people are happy with it while others are less happy as with all regulators :)

Having 6 Poseidon's I can say they're great if serviced right. Mine have been and I was told by that shop to stick with Odin's and Cyclon's.
