Why I’m selling:
My wife and I wanted to dive wrecks in New England. We explored the traditional tech diving route of doubles and even side mount – but the gear was just too heavy for her and more importantly it was not where we were going. At the very beginning we knew we would be diving rebreathers. I believe in the first learned – best learned style of learning. And because of that we decided to start with an entry level rebreather to build the muscle memory and basic gas management skills with the Poseidon. We love these machines (we own two and are only selling one). Our initial training was done with Add Helium in FL – and they are outstanding! After more than 150 dives on this machine I’m moving to an expedition capable unit that is the same unit as my primary dive instructors and those that dive on their boat here in New England. My wife and I are keeping our other unit, which is a 90M (White) unit because the Poseidon is a great rebreather for all weather diving (I’ve dove it in New England in February and Florida in August). I still believe that the active cell validation system the Poseidon uses is the most advanced approach to Oxygen Monitoring. We bought the unit to train toward deeper diving. But in the meantime our experience on closed circuit diving has been a joy. There is nothing like it - it transformed our diving experience. So, if you're coming from Open Circuit diving and elect to buy this unit you’ll be swallowing the red pill - because you can never undo your first silent dive!
