The Poseidon Cyklon First Stage Regulator offers 4 LP and 2 HP standard size ports, DIN 300 Bar fitting and is approved to the EN250 CE standard. Important: The Cyklon regulators work at an IP of { 166 psi | 11.5 bar }, which is considerably higher than typical of most modern regulators. Dive Gear Express recommends using the Cyklon first stage only with the Cyklon second stages.
The Poseidon Cyklon Second Stage Regulator is available in a choice of two different versions. The Metal second stage is the original pilot-operated downstream demand valve design in the classic metal body. Beyond the mechanical strength, the high thermal conductivity of the metal body can also reduce the dry mouth feeling caused by breathing compressed gas. The 5000 second stage is the identical design but updated in a plastic body that offers a reduced weight and lower price. The plastic body second stage should not be used in water temperatures {50°F | 10°C} or colder because the plastic body does not have enough metal parts to act as a heat sync and absorb heat from the water to prevent icing up in cold waters. The Cyklon second stages can be used in either a left or right configuration.
The Poseidon Cyklon second stage uses a unique fitting size that is NOT compatible with standard LP flex or rubber hoses.
