I have a Olympus C5000Z camera I use for underwater photography. It uses the xD type storage card. I am looking for a 1G or more storage device that I can move images via USB 2.0 cable directly from the camera to thee device rather than handling the card. Or does anything on the market now handle the xD card.

Are there any devices that have those capabilities?

Most storage devices read a compact flash card. There is an XD to compact flash converter. The XD fits into a card that looks like a compact flash and will fit into any reader that reads compact flash. That is what I use for my Roadstor CD burner. Olympus makes one that is a little pricey (50.00+-) but it works just fine.
