Headed up to Port Sanilac for some wreck dives on the Great Lakes Diver next Saturday and Sunday. Looking for recommendations for a place to stay. No B & B (don't want to worry about setting my wet stuff on any antiques :nope: )

There isn't anything in Port Sanilac except one place its a Mom and Pops place called Last Chance. Its on M46 just west of Town about 3 blocks or So. The next place is in Sandusky about 15 miles away. I cant think of the Hotel now. Do a search you might find it. Or you can stay in Port Huron 30 miles South of Port Sanilac I usually take my camper when going there..

I usually camp in Bruno's yard.

You could try the Lakewinds Hotel in Lexington.

My kid just got stationed in the thumb area, so I am looking for some dive spots. I see quite a bit of charters in this area. Are there any shore dives in this area?

Lots of diving in the area, but nothing really for shore dives. It takes a good distance to get any depth from the shoreline, so all the diving (with limited exceptions) are from dive charters or boats.
