A young man asked an old rich man how he had made his fortune.
The old man fingered his beard for a while and said "Well my boy, it was 1929 in the depths of the Great Depression. I was down to my last nickel. I invested that nickel in an apple. Then I spent tthe entire day polishing that apple so that it shone. Later that day I sold that apple for 10 cents."
"The next morning I invested that 10 cents in 2 apples and spent all day polishing them. By the end of the day I'd sold both apples for 20 cents."
"I kept buying and polishing apples for the next month by which time I'd accumulated a fortune of $9.37 cents."
"And what happened then?" asked the young man.
"Then my wife's father died and left us $2million".
