Curious what people do.

Webbing goes through the slots on your backplate.
- use sleeves to protect the webbing and prevent slipage
- triglides on the bottom slots to prevent slipage
- neither because you use some kind of mechanism that allows webbing to move for adjustment
- neither and just deal with webbing wear
- neither because your BP has built in protective non slip inserts

I use triglides on the bottom and just replace the webbing as it gets worn out (which takes a LONG time)

Neither - I've got the Halcyon Cinch and I need the shoulder straps to be able to slide freely (to adjust between drysuit and wetsuit, as well as to get out of harness, which is easier with loose straps for me).

Please allow multiple answers...

1 - yep (VDH & OxyCheq "dogbone")
2 - yep (VDH plate)
3 - yep (custom made adjustable harness)
5 - yep (DSS plate)

every choice except #4...

that likely is choice #3...

Done. I answered:

1 - my wife transplate, but I am considering changing it slides. can feel sleeves and webbing sticking out

2 - my aluminum BP and basic harness

3 - oxycheq soft backplate

I'll play too.

Neither!

This was such a $##@#@%#%&&%#@ annoyance to me that I had Fred Tagge cut and bend a custom (my design) plate for me. I love it. See pic.

The very last thing that I need is a shoulder strap that has become a four-foot loop in the middle of the night when I just need to dive and chill...

Set it and forget it!

no triglides, no nothing. Just enough loop-de-loops in the plate that everything stays in place.

Same here. The webbing gets stiff from exposure long before it wears out.
