I know you're all gonna' miss those political ads come next week. So, as a service to my Scubaboard friends, I will TVO the ads and put them on a VHS tape/DVD and send them to you for only 24.99.
All you in other countrys don't know what you're missing!

To be honest with you I am not one of those people who will look upon the campaign of 2004 with any sort of fondness. This has been the most divisive campaign certainly in my lifetime (my first vote went towards Reagan's second term), and probably since the Civil War. We're beyond "knee deep"; I would say we're at least up to our chins if not completely submerged.

I am hoping that when we wake up on November 3 we can get back to being a nation again, but between Michael Moore and the Swiftboat Veterans there are going to be some hard feelings for a long, long, time that will probably spill over into 2008.

Because that (anjmosity spilling over) has never happened before. I am sure that no one in Florida has any hard feelings from 2000! ;)

As soon as they simply require legal picture ID at the polls and crosscheck from state to state, there will be no issues as everyone who is legally entitled to vote will be able to do so, and those who are not entitled will not vote as much or as often. The number of people disenfranchised by the chad system (or their own inability to use it) is positively dwarfed by those disenfranchised by illegal votes.

I have been missing the car sales ads and lawyers ads - both pushed aside for the common good of political ads that seem to fill 95% of the advertising time on tv. Cant wait for next week when this hopefully all boils down - however i feel it will be dragged out and lawsuits filed again, so even if no ads, the election will stay in the news for weeks to come. ;)

Personally I find the political ads entertaining. Where else do you get to see multi-millionaires make complete asses of themselves multiple times a day and in public at that?

Rick - don't laugh - I may take you up on that.

This Canadian can tell you all about the Willy Horton ad in 1988 - the "It's Morning in America" campaign of 1984...

You think this campaign season was divisive, you guys obviously haven't sat through some of the more infamous Jesse Helms campaigns in the early 90's.

I think we're in DECO territory for sure at this point...

I've already voted in FL. Can anyone go to the polls and vote again for me in CA, MO, WI, and IL? Much appreciated in advance.

Darn it...no more mudslinging on TV.....what's this world coming to?????
