Plug to convert double valve to singles

Some time back I picked up a disassembled set of doubles from another (inactive) SB member and I'm wondering if I can cap off the maniofold connections on the valves and use them as single valves. Is there a standard thread pattern for such a thing and can plugs be purchased?
