Yeah, they look like old bits of sea grass. Sometimes they're greener, especially when they're living amongst live sea grass rather than in patches of debris. Where exactly were you at in the Cebu region?

Moalboal for the 2nd half of our trip---stayed & dove with Turtle Bay Resort then..Was @ Dauin(Dumaguete), Negros the 1st part, stayed & dove with Pura Vida then...We boated(transferred) over from Dauin to Moalboal, about a 4 hour run---very beautiful scenery on the way...&, we did the whaleshark dive in Oslob, very interesting...

Haven't even stsarted looking @ pics/videos from Pura Vida...

I staffed an IDC at Pura Vida this summer, and one of our candidates is now working at Moalboal, but not at TB, so you wouldn't have met him. But my friends at Pura Vida, yes! Take a peek at my FB page for some Visayas images, and maybe you can save yourself the trouble of IDing the critters on your own, LOL.
