Places to do shore dive/snorkel in Nassau?

My wife and I are headed to Nassau next week and I was wondering if there were any places that had a reef close enough to either do a shore dive or snorkel out. We will be going out with Stuart Cove and maybe one other while we are there, but we really like to go exploring on our own if we can can a place that is suitable.
