While looking at the required items for Cave1 (on the DIR Mexico site) I saw this:
SHOCKCORD PIGTAIL W/ SMALL BOLTSNAP

Could someone describe what this is/how it is made, or have pictures of one?

Thanks

A piece of shock cord hooked to a small bolt snap. It is used to hold line markers and cookies. They sell them down there and do a better job than any of the homemade ones I ever did. Easiest thing to do is just buy one there. I don't think they cost much more than the retail cost of the bolt snap.

Cool, didn't realize they sold them there. Thanks for the info.

First day of cave1 you'll go over equipment and you'll make the pigtail for line arrows and cookies. They've got boltsnaps, bungee cord, line arrows and cookies down there that you can buy.

Imagine a peice of 1/4" bungie about 5 inches long. Bolt snap on one end, knot on the other. Cookies+arrows go between on the open part of the cord.

A loop of cord works too, but isn't as nice. DIR-MX has the nicest pigtails, way better than you can make at home.

Could someone please post a picture? Am curious to see the DIR-MX version.

Sorry kept forgetting to take these:
