I've been scouring the internet for such pictures, but can't seem to find any :(

Specifically, I mean pictures of the walls of the tunnel from the outside

Anybody here have pictures of tunnels from their dives? Or perhaps they don't exist since people aren't allowed to go near them, but perhaps someone's been to the Chesapeake Bay Tunnel?
 
Tunnels are generally done with large boring machines and are well below the bottom of the harbor or river they run under. The inner wall of the tunnel is reinforced concrete that is poured in forms behind the boring machine as it advances, so the external wall is next to the earth or rock of the tunnel and essentially shores it up to prevent collapse. Thus there are no visible exterior walls to see - just a mud bottom.
