Hi,

here are the images from my recent travel to the famous/notorious Brother Islands in the Red Sea:

http://home.pages.at/roland_zimmermann/uw/rotmeer/thumb_rotes_meer1.htm

It was a fantastic one-week cruise with perfect weather, very good visibility and lots of fish including sharks: grey reef sharks, silky sharks, hammerheads, thresher (unfortunately, all too far away for my wide-angle)...

I would be grateful for any entry in my guestbook - it is soooo deserted... :10:

Very nice photos. I especially enjoyed the wreck shots.

Just beautiful! I always appreciate picture posts -- its like a cheap, 5 minute dive trip.

wow! those are damn good! i would like to take wreck photos someday

Mike Veitch:
nicely done, great variety of critters

Really like that blue spotted stingray

Thanks, Mike.

When I was there I remembered the hint you gave me some months ago to achieve very saturated images with light rays and darker background.

Unfortunately I had to find out that I'm not able to go for a smaller exposure than 1/90 with my camera due to flash synchronisation - I could only work with a smaller f-stop but not with 1/250 or even 1/500.

But I'll try when I buy new equipment - maybe the EOS 350D sometime in the future  ...
