As part of my internship for DM/AI I've been asked to update out shop's equipment specialist course. I would like to add some photos of equipment that may have been poorly maintained or neglected as a "don't let this happen to you" section. So far I only have a few corroded first stage filters, a cracked valve seat and rusty steel tank. So, Does anyone know where I could look for some photos of neglected dive gear? I'm thinking gunked-up regulator, burst hoses, salt crystalized in a BC, or anything like that.

While I've got a thread for it, is anyone willing to contribute any novel equipment tips they think should be included in an equipment specialist course?

P.S. Before it comes up, I will be getting permission for using any photos I add to the final presentation.

google images for the pics is about as good a suggestion as I can make, but that steel tank might look quite good split in half i.e. from top to bottom so that equipment students can see inside the tank without having to look through the hole in the top (provided there is something of interest to see - like corrosion)

In terms of the course get away from the bare minimum, I find it usefull incorporating annual maintenance of store equipment in to the maintenance course as then students can spend more bonus time after course completion assisting in breaking down and cleaning equipment, this works out beneficial for both student and dive centre
