I'm looking for any suggestions on great, warm weather, diving locations/experiences.
I'm certified recreational diver only. My big interest is underwater photography
and want to know who's had great experiences and where in the South Pacific.
Would like to capture war rec's and giant Manta's.

Any tips would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Hi "Smac"(I like it haha) Welcome to the Board. I'm a retread to the sport getting back into the diving after a decade away.

Don't know what experience you have so this may be of interest to you or others. Just got back from a month in Hawaii, got in one dive there but did one to two free dives a day right off the reef of wiakiki. It was a blast, I worked the 30 to 40ft depths and got some awesome photo's with my new little camera. There are a number of wrecks in the area and whale spotting several times a year between Oahu and Molokai. Fish species are overwhelming and approachable if your patient.

If your really adventurous a buddy just got back from the Solomon islands(the Slot) after a month and ahalf and dove on, he guess's 150 wrecks mostly WWII stuff and alot of them are war memorials so it was hands off and respectful distance. But he came back with about 7500 pictures. My research indicates approximately 12 thousnd ships(yes, thousands) or items of interest in and around the islands. Its also frequented by your Manta friends. Its one of my dreams to go.

Have a safe dip
