Phone Home from Grand Turk

Leaving for Grand Turk tomorrow morning and forgot to do any research about the best and cheapest way to call home(USA). Would appreciate any help from those who have been there.

We stayed at a condo. Called with a calling card the first time. What a hassle. Then left the number with the family and they called direct to me from there on out.

it's pretty expensive. we ended up using email mostly from our resort and for phone calls we had a friend who lived in provo (different island, i know but for all intensive purposes, the same) and we used his internet connection to use internet phone (like skype.com). he had an adsl connection so we could call with no problems. you basically buy time prepaid and make calls from your computer to land lines. that way you can bypass the islands rate pretty much and the quality is good epecially when you are using broadband. maybe you could find an internet cafe or maybe your dive shop can help sort you out that way.

Divi Tiara has an internet kiosk in their lobby. Very convenient.
