Local dive shop is doing a trip to the Philippines and I'm wavering on the cost. Here's the details
$3600 per person - Does not include airfare between home and Manilla
5 nights at Atlantis Resort Puerto Galera
Fly to Atlantis Dumaguete in Dauin for 7 nights (this flight is included)
Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner daily
Up to 4 day and 1 night dive per day
Day trip to Apo island
Transfers to/from airport.

Thoughts? thinkin about treating myself for a 40th birthday present

I just got back from DEMA and spoke at length to the people from Atlantis. I'm looking at a similar trip and waiting to get a price from them. That is a great price and you should make it your 40th birthday present.

That's a good deal and especially so if it's Aus dollars.

I take it back. Not such a good deal. Perhaps there's something within the package or going with your mates that will make it more attractive, dollars wise.

Then again, it's your birthday!!

@Wheeler925
Is it a fair price to pay?
It is your birthday gift etc etc. So it is entirely your own decision.
But I have a slightly different idea ie. PG + Anilao.
No domestic transfer so there is no fly penalty.
PG: El Galleon(plenty of respective posts of this resort).
Anilao: You need to look it up in SB.

DIY and should save you several hundred dollars per person for the same duration(including one extra day for diving).

Thanks for the input.. my issue with planning my own trip is that it would be just me.

Anilao and PG are very popular in SB and there are a lot of posts on various reputable resorts.

This is a great report.

Similar trips report on Anilao by various contributors.

Another detail trip report.
