Petrel and VPM-B Upgrade

I am thinking about getting a Petrel and was wondering about the VPM-B upgrade. Does this upgrade need to be done at the time of purchase or is there an unlock code that can be purchased at a later date? Can the unlock code be purchased from any authorized Shearwater dealer?

The upgrade/unlock code Can be purchased at any time

Yes, you can always add the VPM upgrade at a later time. All you'll need is to provide your unit's serial number with payment.
