You may want to read this: Diving in Lima Peru
Personally, if I were to come all the way from Wales, I would go to Galapagos instead, flying to Quito, instead of Lima. I was considering in combining Machu Piccu hiking with Galapagos diving once, but the timing & logistics were getting too complicated & ended up doing two separate trips.

HI Dan,
I have dove the Galapagos, wolf and darwin before, many years ago. Unfortunately cannot afford to go there this time, so has anyone actually dived in Peru?

I did one day of diving in Peru 6 years ago. It was meh. It was pretty unmemorable, enough that I don't even remember the town.
