Does Anyone have any personal pics of wrecks in the Penetang area ?

It would take some looking, but I have some around of the Marquette and Lottie Wolf.

What did you need them for?

planning a trip there one of these weekends with some friends their warm water junkies and are convinced good diving only happens in the south and thanks very much for posting those

Ah, here's a couple more. We've done the dive a few times and the Marquette has always been enjoyable. The Lottie Wolf just up the shore from it is pretty much flattened from the ice, but you can see how these ships were built, the double planking, etc., so worth diving IMHO, especially if the wind is from the West and you can't do the wrecks on the Western side of Hope/Christian Islands.

Sorry, I'm a little late in posting this reply.

If you want info, pics and more for those wrecks and others in Ontario, you can download the OUC's Shipwreck Directory. You'll need to have Google Earth installed which is a free download.

Once installed you can zoom-in on specific areas and click on the icons to get additional info in a pop-up window.
