For those not being able to dive due to Covid and what not: I recently read “Cave Diver” by Jacob Avila, a fiction/action novel. Since there are very few, if any, fiction books featuring cave diving, I thought I’d call it out. I have no relation to the author etc

Overall I found it entertaining, 3.5/5. Note that cave diving is more the background story than the center piece, but there is diving, the diving suits the story and is for the most part believable. If you think of it as the book equivalent of a solid action B-movie for a lazy Sunday with beer and popcorn, you will probably enjoy it. Available on kindle for a few bucks.

Come to think of it: have any of you read one of the books on the Thai cave rescue? There seem to be quite a few (the boys in the cave, miracle in the cave, rising water, ...), and I’m trying to decide which one to give a try

I've only read one: The Boys in the Cave. I couldn't put it down.

Down to a Sunless Sea - David Poyer. It's been 20-something years since I've read it, but a number of friends helped the author with details.
