I heading out with Paradise Charters on the Easy Goin for the weekend trip Sept 6th, - 9th 2006.

THey have 3 spots left for anyone that is interested.

Anyone have any experiance with these guys. I have read mostly positive stuff around here and on the net but most of it was from awhile ago.

We are heading to the Bimini chain, never dove around there before....hoped to on a couple of BB weekend trips but I don't think they get down there any more on their weekend trips.

Anyone dove around those islands?

I've done 3 trips with them and they're great. I'd be interested in going, but Sept. 6th - 9th is a Wednesday - Saturday trip, in the week when Monday (9/4) is Labor Day. How about a more conventional long-weekend trip, like Sept. 8th - 11th?

We were on the Easy Goin' with a small group from the Scubadiving.com board in May. Had a wonderful trip! Chuck and Peg are terrific, you will love them. The food was great. I was pleasantly surprised with the diving at Bimini. Don't miss diving Bull Run, it was a blast. The Sapona is probably the best 15 ft. dive there is. One of the people in our group has some pictures and a slideshow posted, Easy Goin' Bimini Slideshow

Enjoy!

I've been out with Chuck & Peg 2 x's. THey are awesome. Chuck is quick with a story & a smile & Peg is just the best. Please tell them Chiara & John say hello! Enjoy your trip.

Ya I know. The days are a little weird. Since I have to over night in Ft Lauderdale one night (or I miss the 2 last dives), it really dosn't matter to me.

I don't know why this trip is booked that way. Works ok for me anyway. I will leave Toronto Weds afternoon and be in Ft L for about 6:30pm. I then am over nighting in FL for Saturday night and head out around 1:30pm Sunday.

The trip was great.

Weather was fantastic. Gulf Steam crossing was great on the way over and on the way back. A few waves on the way back but really nothing to speak of. Diving was good. After having been to the Bimini area I would have to say that the diving there is a little overrated. Really good but enough already with the coral heads ;)

I wouldn’t say that any particular dive stood out. Most dives were very similar. But overall good variety of life and good diving.

The boat itself was pristine. Loads of room and exceptionally clean. Compared to Black Beards where you are looking for any chance to get of the boat, the Easy Goin was certainly a place where you don’t mind sitting out a dive if you tired. On any of the BB boats I’d rather be in the water even if just sit at the mooring line and chill.

Food was good. Peg does a good job in the kitchen. Not gourmet by any means but tasty and filling. The highlight of the food was the Yellowtail Snapper Sashimi. Wow what a team effort, we caught, Chuck filleted and peg dished it out with wasabie and pickled ginger. That was good eats.

Chuck is a very capable Captain. He’s also quite entertaining. His jokes were pricelessly lame but for some reason had everyone laughing. Do yourself a favor though ask him to keep his fantasies to himself.

Dave the dive master was good. A likeable guy that is more than competent. He knows the dive sites well and was laid back enough with our bunch as we were fairly experienced. I was probably the least experienced of the lot but still fit in without a problem. I was told that the fact that my dive buddy left his spare air on the boat for the whole trip was a compliment to me. :0

I would recommend these guys to anyone.

The only thing I think was a little weird was the tip thing. I have no problem tipping its just that it seams a bit strange to tip the owners.
I mean if they need more money they could just charge more.

I was going to just give the dive master, Dave some cash since he is technically the only crew member, but they said to give it to Chuck and he would distribute it accordingly.

However you look at it this is a very well run boat. A great upgrade from BB.

Sorry if all you wanted was a good or bad answer but thought anyone who hasn’t done this trip might like the insight.
