I own a GS 300 and am thinking about getting an equinox pro 6 housing. Also thinking about UK light canon to save a few bucks. Do you need to get a LCD monitor to see what you are recording?? I appreciate any input...

I don't have any experience with this housing, but some folks have been discussing it in another thread (Canon HV30 with Equinox Pro 6 housing Eval.).

General consensus is that you ought to have the LCD screen if you want to see what you're framing - tough to see the viewfinder.

From my own experience with other housings, I find the LCD screen is good for general framing, but if I need to see detail I put my mask right up against the housing and use the small viewfinder.
