Will the panasonic 45mm work in the standard port? I do not mind if I can't manual focus as I use AF pretty much all the time. Just wanted to know if it would fit.

Yes the 45 macro will fit behind the standard port. NO it does not work well at all. At close range it tends to try to focus on the port glass rather than the subject outside the port glass. With the E-PL1 camera I got less than 90 shots before killing the battery because of the constant hunting to lock focus. If you want to use this lens to its full potential spend the $400.00 and get the excellent ZEN macro port, it makes all the difference.

Thanks, Phil.

I will definitely invest in the port but might try the lens in the standard port a few times while I am waiting.

Also, I have the e-pl2 but have not bought the housing yet. Was going to buy it this week, but it seems Oly will be announcing a new camera on June 30 which everyone expects will be the e-p3 or e-pl3. I might wait to see if a housing will be announced with the camera, because it might have the new 16 mp sensor from panasonic that looks to have excellent higher ISO performance as well.
