A few pics from Panama City July 15 & 16. New strobe, lots to learn, some PS'ed, some not, some cropped, some not, some overexposed.

Which bridge span is that?

Nice bait fish...aren't they amazing? I dove on BS #6 once where the bait fish were so thick that the sun was blocked out when the school would turn...very cool.

Nice 'cudda shot!

Great Pics Don Janni.

Looks like Hathway Bridge span #14 and the Black Bart.

*sigh*.... sad I reconized these so easily....why won't the PCB dive shops go to other sites than these? Our last trip down, they did these same 2 sites three trips in a row.

EDIT: Man! great color in the 2nd set of pics? how'd you do that? where these photoshop'd?

Bridge Span #13 and it was the Bart... My third dive on it. Always pretty good though. Saw the shark there.

For the color... just dumb luck I guess. Some of those were not touched at all. Some I ran autolevels and that's it.

Still great pics. Very good work. I've got a similar (but no where as good) pic of pic #1 in your thread of Bridgespan #14.

When I saw the 'bell' on the bridge span when you added additional pics I was 2nd guessing my suggestion it was #14 as I was pretty sure that wasn't on there.

What were water temps down there?

I found the secret! On weekends at least one operator does off-shore wrecks. I had been lamenting the same thing, but was pleased to find I could get a nice offshore dive if I went out on Saturday or Sunday afternoon. Unfortunately, the second dive was inshore.

I guess that's the price you gotta pay for not chartering your own boat.

Well that's one good thing about us going on a charter with our LDS. They charter the whole boat so we can do an offshore set of dives. It might cost a smidge more but it's worth it as you also don't have a bunch of people on the boat who have no clue what they are doing (except for the boat crew in some ocassions).

Unfortunately this backfired last time. THe boat crew had so many problems they were 2 hours late getting back from their previous charter which cut our charter short by 2 hours. So guess where went...... (yep... you don't even have to ask to know....) The Black Bart and the bridge spans.

Sorry for the temp thread 'diversion' here Don Janni
