The wrecks of Truk are well-known, but those of Palau seem to be less known. I have yet to dive either location, but for those of you who have been to both Palau and Truk, how do the wrecks in Palau such as Iro Maru, the Helmet Wreck, Ryuko Maru, Amatsu Maru etc. compare to those found in Truk in terms of condition, interest (i.e artifacts), visibility ? Any other comments on the Palau wrecks would be appreciated. TIA.

I dove one wreck in Palau " supposadly the best wreck" this was the Helmet wreck

It was nothing special, poor vis, flatend out ship in about 40 feet of water, with nothing on it except two stacks of fused together helmets up in the bow.

the diving in Palau was incredible.

The wrecks in Truck [Chuuk is the proper name] are incredible
I would sell my wife to spend more time in Chuuk

Thanks AquaTec for your input. It sounds like you would recommend giving the wrecks in Palau a miss and instead focus on the more famous "non-wreck" dive sites there. Chuuk is definitely high on my list of dream dive trips! Thanks again.
