I've kind of put down a deposit for an OS trip this year and had kind of selected palau in early August on an impulse while whinging that summer was over in Australia.

it's a land based trip with Sam's diving... I've now noticed this is the wet season, does anyone have any actual experience about diving in August in Palau. I'm all for sitting by the water watching monsoon rains falling drinking beer, but i can do that in Thailand for about 1/4 of the price of a Palau trip.

I don't think I would go but this last year they say they were having more rain and wind in the dry season than they did in the wet season. I know I was there in March and the weather was crappy!...usually it is perfect!

i guess if the weather isn't perfect every day it'll be a reason to go back ;)
