We originally got the China Airlines tix for around $1,700. The United tix, granted bought last-minute, were around $3,500, both Economy.Airfare has gone through the roof since then, though.

As most of you know, brevity is not my strong suit. (I prefer to think of myself as "thorough.") This Palau trip had all kinds of stuff going on that I want to share with you: airline problems, the diving, camera problems, and an incident that could have been tragic. So this is the longest trip report I think I've ever written. If there's a part that doesn't interest you, just scroll down a bit until the theme changes. That being said . . .
